Horse Sense....

In the end I tried another worming way, and the reason for that, was this:

Mumma bear is exceptional in knowing what works and what doesn't feed/food wise.

She knows her stuff.  All mares do and particularly, all my horses here.

So when Mumma is going out of her way to say, "This stuff is not ok!" then I have to listen to her and work with her.

So I have, and did, and Mummas is the happiest she has been for days.  I also explained that if this doesn't work, although it should, then she has to be commerically wormed.

She tells me that she is fine.  Cappy, the little darling that he is, is being re-done as well.

The funny thing is, that if I hadn't been trying new things, this would never have happened.

I got excellent results for me, mostly, then didn't...then looked outside the square, went backwards to go forwards, and then exponentially hit gold.

I am cautiously optimisitc, nah, I'm lying, I'm super stoked.

Suz is also on a new regime and she started getting a positive result within hours.

Ha.

And a new Soy-free food is out.

Went to pick up feed and one of the lovely girls who works there came running out with 3, free, decent size trial bags, of this new feed.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Could be a go.

Fuck...almost killed Mumma bear.

Used a new herb wormer (for humans) and didn't check all the herbs because I thought I knew what was in it, and it was made personally for me.

I didn't, and it had Black Walnut in it.

Mumma bear and Cappy had both had it and, thank Spirit, both were absolutely fine.

However, I threw the rest of it away immediately.

On a positive note, I'm pretty sure that Mumma bear is completely worm free now.

All jokes aside though, the commerical wormers are not working - the horses hate them, and they are becoming resistant to them.

So I'm going to continue to try and find a better way forward...without Black Walnut.

A good week, however, I would like to spend more time with my horses.

But on a good note, my anxiety is at an all time low, so that's a big plus.

Boo still missing in action.

Bellles going well on the track, but I don't have times yet as she not being timed at this exact moment.

Maybe next week.

So that's been our week:

Take what you need, leave the rest, don't be a Fuckwit.
